KHP Delivers with 'Thinking About You'
Over the coming weeks, On the Record will look at some of the latest CD projects from KHP Music and Ripete Records.
First up in the spotlight is Thinking About You, KHP's tribute to the 2008 edition of SOS. The compilation features 14 tracks, with a good mixture of new original tunes plus some cover projects of classics as well.
Several of the tracks have already entered 94.9 The Surf's Weekly Top 40 Beach & Boogie Countdown, and fans will most likely see that the remaining tracks get there soon.
Movers and shakers to watch specifically on this collection include "Shadow Shaggin", a Tommy Black original; the Robinson-Moore penned "Ooo Baby Baby" performed by Summerdaze; Rick Strickland's "Nice While It Lasted"; John Fogerty's "Green River," delivered well by Shaggie Maggie; Albert Rogers' rendition of Paul Carrack's "Satisfy My Soul"; the ever-popular "Outta Control" by Doug Winstead; and "Such a Beautiful Girl", a great Carolina shag mix by Wallstreet.
The complete project will have listeners 'thinking about" SOS 2008 for years to come.
